These are just three of the goals that Sasse Group has set in its current ESG strategy. Sharpening the focus on tasks in the areas of Environment, Social, and Governance is fundamentally crucial for the value and service quality in Integrated Facility Management, according to the service company. “We see ourselves here as a responsible partner for our employees and customers who expect concrete goals and positions from us,” says Dr. Laura Sasse, Board Member Finance I Digitalization I ESG. “As we are familiar with performance measurement in our work, we rely on understandable values and numbers.”
Mindfulness in resource management and sustainable processes plays a key role: “As an FM company, we focus on environmentally and climate-friendly practices. We emphasize energy, water, and resource efficiency, reducing the ecological footprint of our services, the objects we manage, and our clients,” describes Laura Sasse the holistic approach. This is closely related to the expectations for the behavior of the entire Sasse Group: “We stand for integrity and transparency. We commit to ethical conduct, responsible supply chain management, and open and honest communication with all stakeholders. We embrace innovations that lead to ecological and social improvements.”
A closer look at the currently critically examined topic of “supply chain” highlights the precise ESG approach of Sasse Group. At least 90 percent of our own suppliers and subcontractors have undergone the Sasse Sustainability Rating – the percentage is expected to grow further. “We will consistently take on the implementation and promotion of the supplier evaluation system with regular reviews, audits, and the implementation of the LkSG,” explains Sasse. Another example is the increase in diversity in leadership positions through targeted training and development programs.
In collaboration with IGEFA as our partner in Germany and austria, there are currently ambitious goals regarding the use of cleaning chemicals. The share of sustainable agents should be raised to at least 50 percent and gradually expanded. Here, we rely on the expertise of one of the leading wholesalers in Germany for building cleaning, healthcare, and hospitality. The digitization of daily purchasing and procurement processes of the new partner plays a significant role in automating procurement processes and reducing administrative effort and environmental impact – “in line with our holistic ESG strategy,” as Laura Sasse emphasizes.
